Using a Tesoro or Whites metal detector is easy but, just like other hobbies, getting the best results will take some time and practice.Walk along slowly, moving the coil from side to side. Waving the coil slowly will allow you to detect deeper objects. As the search pattern for most coils is shaped like a cone a four inch search area at the surface will only be one inch at ten inches deep.
