Clearing the browser cache

I dare you to look in your browsers cache of saved files. You might be surprised at seeing many megabytes of files wasting space. Not only that, but tracking cookies, ad ware and malicious files may be sitting there sending your info to someone else.

You can be proactive in clearing out all this junk tho, and one of the things to do is to clear your browsers cache. Of course there are programs that can do this for you, but in the meantime I have included some tips for clearing out several of the popular browses leftovers!

To clear the cache in Internet Explorer:

Click the Tools menu at the top of your browser, and select Internet Options.
Click the General tab at the top of the dialogs box.
Click Delete Files under Temporary Internet files.
Select Delete all offline content by checking the box.
Click OK.
To clear the cache in Mozilla and Netscape:

Click the Edit menu at the top of your browser, and select Preferences.
Click the + next to Advanced.
Select Cache under Advanced.
Click Clear Cache.
Click OK.
To clear the cache in Mozilla Firefox:

Click the Tools menu at the top of your browser, and select Options.
Click Privacy.
Click Clea’ next to Cache.
Click OK.
To clear the cache in Opera:

Click the Tools menu at the top of your browser, and select Delete private data …
Make sure that Delete temporary cookies, Delete all cookies and Delete entire cache is selected.
Click OK.
To clear the cache in Safari:

Open the Safari menu on your browsers toolbar.
Select Empty Cache
Click Empty in the dialogue box.
