Online Marketing Services - Why I Love Spam
In the ancient, pre-Internet days, people used to get all kinds of mail in their mailbox. There were all kinds of mails like product catalogues, product samples, resort vacation packages, book club offers, magazine subscription offers, credit card offers to very simple flyers. Spam mails nowadays simplify the process of sifting through hundreds of letters and catalogues every day. You simply have to click and view it on your screen. In this new age of the Internet, I need the information and opportunities that e-mail marketing provides. Spam, believe it or not, is the most established wing of e-mail marketing.
I love reading the offers, I learn about the new things and I even buy some products. However, I only buy what I need and in some cases what I want, because the e-mail convinces me with good copy, an attractive product design and interesting presentation and sometimes backed up with offers and guarantee. They are reaching out to satisfy our needs as their research indicates. Now why this is considered to be unwanted boggles me.
E-mail marketing does not require a postcard or envelope with postage to get more information. You just click ‘reply’ or in many cases, click on the direct link to the e-mailer's website.
Spam was considered to be the junk mail only a few years ago. I agree that there is still junk in spam mail. But this online marketing service has now opened up a wide pantheon of products and services to precisely match your needs. I prefer to think of it as marketing mail, searching for new customers and keeping the established clients abreast of the latest updates.
I think a few people, who are not very well informed about the great advantages of using internet as a marketing tool, have decided what is good for the people and are trying to establish an unnecessary filter for this marketing strategy. People don't usually get what they don't want. E-mail is an effective way of quickly identifying, qualifying and servicing customers with what they want. Large catalog marketers are pleased with the growing percentage of business through the internet, and they use e-mail to offer special offers and other information valuable to their customers.
According to a Yahoo Mail global survey of 3,100 Internet users, 20 percent have reported buying products from spammers and about 30 percent have responded to spam. I am not a spammer. If I knew how to send spam e-mails I surely would. My spam is important to me.
